100 Reasons To Rise
Agency: Uncommon Creative Studio
Client: Quaker
Nearly a third of people say there aren’t many reasons to be hopeful at all these days. But every morning’s a chance to rise. On behalf of Quaker Oats, this touching photo documentary 100 Reasons to Rise showcases 100 inspirational stories from people aged 1-100 on the morning of an important day.
Shot by photographer, storyteller and civil rights activist Milan Harriman, it features the most diverse cast ever assembled, and poses the question; “We know our stories, but how often do we brush past people in our busy day and not know their stories?”
Take the older gentleman who confides: “Today is my 80th birthday and my family are going to throw a party for me”, the young boy who nervously reveals: “Today is my first day of secondary school”, or the teenage girl who shares: “I hope that people like my braces.”
As Harriman says: “There is so much possibility at breakfast.”
The work ran across a live exhibit, an interactive website, OOH and more.
